This is all about the fried chicken. It was absolutely delicious. For a half chicken all the parts were cooked perfectly. The skin was super crispy and the breast and thigh and leg were nice and juicy. I also had the salad with the turkey skewers with the house dressing. It was a perfect meal. So perfect that I had to order another half chicken after finishing the first. I started out with the flame(hint of spice) and the next one was the camp fire (tiny bit more spice) but still no lingering heat or anything to make you pause. This is a must eat while you are in Germany.

As a first time visitor and having booked a table in advance I was disappointed in where we were seated : in the tent where it was all moist/cold (because of the rain). Bad chairs aswell, definitely when you're a lower-back patient like me... If I'd visit again I would make sure to have a table indoors. The food... hey, they serve chicken! 😁 The chicken was tasty though I chose a slightly too spicy version of it. Overall, food was good 👍

Pleasantly small and well-arranged restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The food is very good, the beef burger was perfect and the chocolate dessert was delicious. The prices are rather expensive considering the portions, which can be found cheaper elsewhere, but considering the quality they are almost unrivaled. The bun is from the local baker, the beef from the local butcher. You have to do that first at that price. The entire guest room is clean and well maintained. Card payment was not possible (today). This is not entirely up to date and should be communicated more openly. Then you can adjust to it. Otherwise there is a savings bank nearby.
